Alana experienced her first Halloween as a Trick-or-Treater.
For our annual $3 Boorito, from Chipotle, we dressed as the Flintstone Family - all we were missing was Dino. They asked to have an unexpected item on your costume, so I had cat ears and a tail while Marshall wore a hat and 1970's Sunglasses.
After playing and eating we went trick-or-treating. Alana loved knocking on the doors, picking out a candy from the bowls, and saying thank you and goodbye to each house. She collected lots of candy in the few homes we went to.
One home had a mat that loudly hackled once you stepped on it. Once Alana stepped on it, she jumped about a foot in the air and ran to me to save her. She cuddled up to me and kept saying bye bye until we walked away from the house. It was so sad and yet so funny. But it didn't stop her from going to the next house to ask for more.
A home across the street had a Haunted House in their garage. She wouldn't walk up the drive way unless we held her. (At daycare they had a haunted house that had balloons and q-tip skeletons. A large garbage bag spider scared her as she walked around the corner).
At another house, they wanted her to say Trick-or Treat and she wouldn't (it was one of the only houses she wouldn't).
At another house an older lady was trying to talk to her but Alana kept on trying to shut their screen door while saying bye bye. She got her candy and was ready to leave, lol.
After we got home, daddy put her to bed and she wouldn't let go of her Jack-o-Lantern filled with candy. Daddy had to place it on the rocking chair for her to stare at all night to keep it safe.
She was hilarious the entire night and had so much fun.
